1. Show students Gordon Gecko “Greed is Good” clip. Talk about the comparisons between Macbeth and today’s financial crisis as far as ambition and greed being balanced by moral constraint.
3. Read and discuss article. Look at the pyramid/square? Does it work for Macbeth?
2. Assign Journal #3: Is greed ever really good? Why or why not? What if we change the word from greed to ambition? Does this change the way you think about it? Why?
Assignments Given: Word Trace due at the end of Act III, Macbeth Portfolio due at the end of the unit; keep everything!
