1. Show students Lancelot Gobbo scene from Merchant of Venice. Point out that soliloquies are verbal inner conversations wherein the speaker often debates a course of action. They are like windows into the inner thoughts of the speakers.
2. Read Macbeth 2.1-3 (only read 3 if time allows).
3. Remind Act II word tracers to begin their assignment now. Their due date will be Wednesday.
4. Shakespearean Insults (if time), if not, parenthesis.
