Read samples from William Blake's Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience. These poems are a juxtaposition of youthful innocence and adult digression and cynicism.
Tell students that we are now going to bring out our inner children by exploring the child point of view.
Read selections from and show PowerPoint about The Secret Knowledge of Grownups.
Give each student a double piece of paper and have them fold it into a booklet.
Have them create their own version of secret knowledge. They should put the rule and the "grownup" reason on the outside and their own "real" reason on the inside. Have them put their name on the back side.
Give students time to pass them around class and share their knowledge!

Final will be on the 16th.
