February 11, 2009

1. Break students into small groups and assign them articles to study and prepare to present to the class. The articles are found on my web site under the heading “Homework Articles on the Web.”
2. Have the groups present pertinent ideas from articles to the class. Tell students that this is just the jumping off point. There is a lot more research out there for them to find. Mention that I have the books written by some of these researchers. These books will be available for short term checkouts and on reading days.
3. This Friday will be a reading day.
4. Students continue to work on their ballads.
