SSR 13 Minutes
1. Display cartoons on overhead as students come in.
2. Show students the music video, “The World I Know,” and clips from other music: “Different Drum,” “I Believe I Can Fly,” “Why Don’t You Dance,” “My Way,” etc.
3. Give students the Transcendentalism and Music assignment, the Occasional Paper assignment and the NWP Day on Writing Challenge. They may post anything they would like on the NWP site.
4. Read students an example of an occasional paper: Inheritance.
4. Show students the first Gandhi clip and read them the paper about the salt protests.
5. Show students the second Gandhi Clip.
