1. Display cartoons on overhead as students come in.
2. Have students take civil Alabama Voter test.
3. Read “On Civil Disobedience” on page 377 in the Yellow Book.
4. Have students read “Gandhi Myths Paper.”
5. Talk about the importance of the little people. Read Colvin Paper with students/MLK acceptance speech.
6. Show students Worlds on Fire Video.
7. Have student write paragraphs about what they’ve learned about Gandhi/MLK/Thoreau and the nonviolence movement from what we’ve studied today as an exit pass.
